Grass Fire Training

The Jackson Fire Department is a Paid-on-Call service with a full-time Fire Chief, Fire Marshall, and Firefighter/EMT. Two more part time Firefighter/EMT positions were also created to help meet the needs of the expanding population of the Jackson area. Currently, the JFD serves residents of the Town of Polk, Town of Jackson, Village of Jackson, and Kirchhayn, spanning approximately 50 square miles.  The department provides superior emergency services at the IV technician level, and regularly conducts community training and fire prevention programs.

Those served by the Jackson Fire Department can be proud of the men and women that give freely of their time and energy to help protect lives and property through the use of fire and rescue equipment.
